Celebrate summer with one of these beach-ready projects featuring Wool and the Gang Ra-Ra Raffia “yarn.”
The workshop costs $10 & everyone will receive the printed pattern for the Glory Knit Bag, as well as the Wool and the Gang Raffia Crochet: 10 Contemporary Patterns book.
In the workshop, our instructor will talk about this unique “yarn.” Crafted from biodegradable wood fiber, it is water repellant & dries quickly if wet. Very structured, Ra-Ra Raffia is perfect for summer hats, market bags, clutches, shoulder bags, beach bags & home accessories such as placemats.
There will then be an overview of each project & instruction on getting started. We are featuring a knit & crochet project for the workshop. Choose between the Glory Knit Bag, a summery, carry-all & the Worn This Way Crochet Hat, a stylish topper that is perfect for a beach getaway.
The rest of the afternoon will be spent working on your project with help available as needed. Feel free to stay as long as you like to work on your new summer project!

- 2 spools Wool and the Gang Ra-Ra Raffia
- Size US 8, 32”-40” circular needle
- Tapestry/ darning needle
*Prerequisite: to make the workshop more enjoyable, it is ideal to already have the following skills: casting-on, simple increases & decreases
Worn This Way Crochet Hat
- 1 spool Wool and the Gang Ra-Ra Raffia
- Size US 7 (4.5 mm) crochet hook
*Prerequisite: to make the workshop more enjoyable, it is ideal to already have the following skills: magic ring, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, working into both sides of foundation chain, slip stitch
