Interlocking colors create a serrated gradient effect in four colors of Puffin. Quick to work up and versatile in length—written for a short cowl or long loop—this pretty neckwarmer is a fun way to experiment with color combinations.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:

32 (66)" [81 (167.5) cm] circumference and 9¼ (8½)" [23.5 (21.5) cm] deep

YARN:

short cowl: Quince & Co. Puffin / 1 skein each, shown in: crow 102 / frost 103 / kumlien’s gull 152 / damson 149 /

long cowl: Quince & Co. Puffin / 2 skeins sabine 150 / 1 skein each: frost 103 / kumlien’s gull 152 / fjord 138

NEEDLES:

24" or 40" circular in sizes US 10½ and 13 [6.5 and 9 mm]

GAUGE:

12 sts and 14 rnds = 4" [10 cm] in colorwork pattern with larger needles, after blocking

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Long-tail cast on, stranded colorwork (links provided), knitting in the round. Charts only.
