Oh-so cozy and decadent, this cabled poncho is exactly what you need for those late autumn chills. Featuring small and large cable motifs with garter stitch on a background of reverse stockinette, this poncho is an interesting knit, and a flattering garment for all sizes.
Poncho is worked flat back and forth in rows in 2 panels. The panels are then turned sideways and seamed together along shoulder edge. Stiches along the neckline are then picked up and worked in the round for collar.
The 2 cable patterns are worked simultaneously across the rows. It may be helpful to use differently colored markers to differentiate the sections of small cables and large cables.
