Craft: Knitting
Chic on or off the slopes. the Summit Valley Cowl by Wool & Co. is a simple stockinette cowl that allows the yarn to shine. Soft & cozy Shibui Birch is held together with variegated Farmers Daughter Mighty Mo to add dimension to solid colors.
Two colors of Birch are used throughout the pattern to create a subtle stripe pattern. The cowl could also be knit omitting the stripes & just using 1 color of Birch (you will still need 2 skeins).
The complimentary cowl pattern requires 2 skeins of Shibui Birch (fingering weight) in complimentary or contrasting colors, 1 skein of Farmers Daughter Mighty Mo (lace weight mohair), & size US 6, 24” circular needles.
Other mohair options include Rowan Kidsilk Haze, or another lace weight yarn for those with mohair sensitivity.
