Choice of yarn is REALLY important for this pattern. It was designed to be knit in Manos Silk Blend, which is a mostly drapey, but still bouncy silk/wool blend. The shape of the sweater is, by nature, very boxy, and the drape of the yarn makes up for and lets the sleeves hang, and the whole thing cling in a fetching way. Choose something with a significant silk, bamboo, or tencel content to get a similar drape. Also wash and block your swatch. Some of these fibers behave differently after washing.
