Manos del Uruguay FINO (70% extrafine merino wool, 30% silk; approx. 490 yds/100 g): 1 sk each of MC and CC for a set of hat and mittens.

Needles & Notions
US 5/3.75 mm 16” circular needle and double-pointed needles, or size needed to obtain gauge
US 4/3.5 mm 16” circular needle for hat ribbing
US 3/3.25 mm double-pointed needles for mitten cuff ribbing
Stitch marker
1” strip of cardboard or 1” pompom maker (optional for hat)
Tapestry needle
GAUGE
28 sts and 32 rnds = 4”/10 cm in St st colorwork pattern from Dotted Diamonds chart using largest needles.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Hat: 20” circumference above ribbing and 8½” tall
Mittens: 8” hand circumference and 10¾” long from CO to fingertips
