Shadow Hat by Pernille Larsen

Craft: Knitting

This pattern is available on Ravelry.

The Shadow Hat is worked in stockinette stitch and in the round, from the top down. Once the hat body is complete, stitches are bound off, and brim stitches are picked up through the bind off to create structure.

Shadow Hat is designed for 3 strands of fingering-weight yarn held together. It weighs only 60-90 g 2.2-3.2 oz depending on your size, and is a good project to use up scrap yarns. Dig out 300-480 m 328-525 yd of fingering-weight yarns, or 100-160 m 109-175 yd of heavy worsted or aran weight scraps to replace the 3 strands and be used single stranded, or be creative, and hold different weight scraps together, and make yourself your own, unique Shadow Hat in whichever shade and weight yarn you prefer (and, need we remind you? Be sure to check your gauge!).
