Yarn

Manos del Uruguay ALEGRIA (75% superwash merino wool, 25% polyamide; approx. 100g/445 yds),

2 (2, 2, 2, 3, 3) sks. Shown in A6524 Aguayo.

Needles & Notions

US 4/3.5mm 24” circular needle and set of 4 or 5 double pointed, or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge

28 sts and 40 rows/rnds = 4” in St st.

28 sts and 50 rows/rnds = 4” in Garter st.

Notes

The body is worked back and forth in rows from the neck down. The sleeves are worked in the round from the underarms to the cuffs. Stitches for the hood are picked up from the neck edge and worked upwards.
