Olive’s Cat Beanie is worked in the round from the bottom up with 1 strand of Heavy Merino + 1 strand of Soft Silk Mohair held together throughout.
You start with the ribbed brim, continue in stockinette stitch over the body of the hat before the two cat ears are shaped with increases and decreases. The crown is shaped to give a good fit.

1-2 (3-4, 5-8) years // XS/S (S/M, M/L) to fit head circumference of approx. 45-48 (48-51, 51-53) // 53-55 (55-57, 57-60) cm 17¾-19 (19-20, 20-20¾) // 20¾-21¾ (21¾-22½, 22½-23½)”

Circumference: approx. 44 (47, 49) // 51 (51, 53) cm 17¼ (18½, 19¼) // 20 (20, 20¾)”

Yarn:

1 strand of Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino (125 m 137 yd / 50 g 1.8 oz), worsted weight yarn, 1 ball + 1 strand of Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair (225 m 246 yd / 25 g 0.9 oz), lace-weight yarn, 1 ball.

Needles:

3.5 mm / US4 and 4.5 mm / US7 circular needles, or in size to obtain gauge

Gauge (after blocking):

18 sts and 24 rows = 10 cm 4” in st st with 4.5 mm / US7 needles
