Craft: Knitting
This pattern is available on Ravelry.
Nixe is the German word for mermaid, and it seemed the perfect name for a shawl where the simple, repetitive stitch pattern evokes the sun-dappled scales of mermaids playing just below the surface of the sea.
I also love the way it showcases two new Pascuali Balayage colorways,a soft off-white and a hand-dyed turquoise flecked with jewel tones.
A wonderful accessory for the seaside!
Yardage
Pascuali Filati Naturali Balayage or Balayage Hand Dye
• 3 balls in “Ica”, 150 g / 575 yds [525 m] used for sample
• 2 balls in “Paracas”, 100 g / 383 yds [350 m] used for sample
Note: Both colors have almost been completely used up. You can add repeats if you have more yarn left, or you can leave out some if you run out. This pattern is very easy to
adapt to your given yardage.
