When working the SKP stitch, try to keep your work close to the tips of your knitting needles to avoid stretching the stitches out too much as you pass over.

Wet blocking your finished piece is essential to allow the fabric to relax and lie flat. Pinning the points of the eyelet border will allow the pattern to dry in place as intended.
