The bright speckles running through this yarn make it ideal for a drop stitch pattern to add texture to the fantastic colours.

This shawl starts at one tip and works across to the other tip using a series of increases and decreases.

It’s enhanced by a series of short row wedges along the back, and includes optional armholes.

To Fit Back Width up to: 15.25 (16.75, 18.5)” / 38.5 (42.5, 47) cm

Note: If armholes are omitted this is not used.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

Shawl Width: 76.75 (78.25, 80)” / 195 (199, 203) cm.

Shawl Depth: 23” / 58.5 cm

76.75” / 195 cm size shown on a 15” / 38 cm wide back.

26 stitches and 38 rows = 4” / 10cm in Drop Stitch Pattern blocked

26 stitches and 48 rows = 4” / 10cm in Garter Stitch blocked

Hedgehog Fibres ‘Merino Lace ‘ (100% merino wool, 1312 yds / 1200 m per 3.53oz / 100g); colour: Dreamscape: 1 skein

Approx yardage used: 1150 (1200, 1250) yds / 1050 (1090, 1150) m

Needles & Notions

1 US size 2 1/2 / 3 mm circular needle, 32” / 80cm long

US size 2 1/2 / 3 mm dpns for armholes
