Craft: Knitting

This pattern is available on Ravelry.

This stockinette scarf in cuddly Maxima lies flat at the edges, thanks to some nearly-invisible 1x1 ribbing at each side. A few broad stripes lead up to some entry-level intarsia that makes this a great introduction to the technique!

Finished Measurements

52” long and 8½” wide, not including fringe

Yarn

Manos del Uruguay MAXIMA (100% extrafine merino wool; approx. 219 yds/100 g): 1 sk each of colors A, B, C, and D.

Shown in M2293 Leo (A), M2110 Zinnia (B), M2163 Apricot (C), and M2040 Daffodil (D)

Needles & Notions

US 8/5.0 mm needles, or size needed to obtain gauge

Tapestry needle

Cardboard template 5” x 2” for fringe

Large crochet hook (sufficient for hooking 10 strands of yarn; optional)

Gauge

18 sts and 25 rows = 4”/10cm in St st (see Notes).

Notes
