Craft: Knitting
This pattern is available on Ravelry.
Hyacinth is a simple & seamless vest featuring A-line shaping and eyelet details. It uses Manos del Uruguay’s Alpaca Heather yarn, a beautiful sport-weight alpaca blend.
This pattern was originally part of the Spring 2021 Elizabeth Smith Collection with Manos del Uruguay/Fairmount Fibers.
Knit seamlessly from the bottom-up, Hyacinth is all about simplicity, but with a few little details to keep things interesting. It is meant to be worn in an open-style, but you can choose to add a closure or buttons if you prefer. In the sample photographed I used 2 different colors, but you can also use just 1 color if you prefer (as in the original). There is a Hyacinth tips page (link in pattern) that provides tutorials of all of the techniques featured in this pattern!
Sizes
Finished Bust Circumference (with front bands overlapping): 31 (34.5, 38, 42.5, 46) (50, 53.5, 58, 61.5)”/ 79 (88, 97, 108, 117) (127, 136, 147, 156) cm
Picking your Size: Shown in size 38”/97 cm (in 2 color version), being worn with approx 5”/13 cm of positive ease at the bust and approx 2”/5 cm of positive ease at the hip (when front bands overlap). I recommend picking a size that is 2-5”/5-13 cm larger than your actual bust measurement, depending on your desired fit.
Yarn/Yardage
Approx 790 (860, 960, 1050, 1140) (1240, 1330, 1430, 1530) yds of sport/DK-weight yarn

If you choose to use 2 colors as sample photographed, yardage is divided as follows:
