With or without cowl

Our favorite poncho transcends the trends. As a friend from Peru wryly observed, “Where I come from, we’ve worn ponchos for three thousand years!” It’s easy to knit (just one long stockinette rectangle), easy to finish, and easy to throw on. We think it’s like a really elegant sweatshirt.

YARN

Poncho with cowl: 3 balls Berroco Remix Light; Or approx. 980 yds/896m of an equivalent dk-weight yarn.

Poncho without cowl: 2 balls Berroco Remix Light; Or approx. 840 yds/768m of an equivalent dk-weight yarn.

Needle size

US 6 - 4.0 mm

Sizes available

One size. Poncho: 22 x 50"/56 x 127cm, before folding. Cowl: 24"/61cm around x 8"/20cm tall.
