This pretty two-colour shawl has a calming garter stitch centre with contrasting lace edging and beads that add weight and pop out from the lace pattern. The lace pattern is given in both written and charted instructions.

• A Teal Blue (308) 1 x 100g skein 
• B Oyster (303) 2 x 100g skeins

Needles and accessories 

• 1 set 4mm UK 8/US 6 circular needles (80 or 100cm 30 or 40in long due to number of stitches) 
• 12g 0.5oz size 6 4mm/0.25in seed beads (optional) 
• 0.75mm crochet hook (if using beads)

Tension 

13 sts and 25 rows to 10cm 4in over garter stitch using 4mm needles, after blocking
