As the cold wind bites from the crashing shoreline, pull close your Coroman cardigan for layers of woolen warmth that withstand all tempests. Awash in perfectly weighted cables, this cozy staple boasts insulating, overlapping fronts and a knitted belt to cinch against the chill. Coroman is an essential classic for any handmade wardrobe in Tones’ or Shelter’s entirely American wool.

Construction

• The cardigan is worked in one piece from the bottom up; at the underarms, the fronts and back are split and worked separately and then the shoulders are seamed. Sleeve stitches are picked up and the bracelet-length sleeves are worked circularly to the cuff. Front bands are picked up and worked flat. An optional belt is worked flat from end to end.

Needles

Size A (for Main Fabric)

• One 32”/80 cm circular needle and one set of double-pointed needles (DPNs) in size needed to obtain gauge listed
• Suggested Size: 4.5 mm (US 7)

Size B (for Ribbing)

• One each 32”/80 cm and 40”/100 cm circular needles and one set of DPNs, one size smaller than Size A
• Suggested Size: 4 mm (US 6)
