Abbreviations are in US terminology.

Squares 1, 2, 5, & 6 are worked in the round. Squares 3, 4, 7, 8, 9 & 10 are worked flat.

If you prefer a magic circle to create your starting ring, feel free to use that instead. Unless indicated, crochet through both loops (not just front or back loops only).

Cluster Stitch: YO, insert hook in space, YO, draw up a loop, YO, draw through 2 loops. (2 loops left on hook) YO, insert hook back into same space, YO, draw up a loop, YO, draw through 2 loops. (3 loops left on hook) YO, insert hook back into same space, YO, draw up a loop, YO, draw through 2 loops. (4 loops left on hook) YO and draw through all 4 loops.

Tip: For squares worked in rounds, place a removable stitch marker on the right side of your work after round 1.
