Craft: Knitting

Beech Hill is worked flat in one piece starting from the back hem. Stitches are then divided and the left and right fronts are worked separately.

YARN (2018 Version)

BC Garn Sarah Tweed (50% mulberry silk, 40% wool, 10% silk noil; 191 yards (175 meters) / 50 gm skein): 18 Dark Grey, 6 (8) skeins.

YARN (2015 Version)

The Fibre Co. Acadia (60% merino wool, 20% baby alpaca, 20% silk; 145 yds/50 gm skein): mountain ash, 7; (11) skeins.

GAUGE

18 sts + 25 rows = 4” (10 cm) in St st, after blocking.

NEEDLES

1 – 32” (80 cm) US 8 (5 mm) circular.

NOTIONS

Stitch markers, tapestry needle.
