Craft: Knitting

A staple wardrobe piece, Avalon is a textured knit pullover, worked in Carousel and Aerial held together. The body and sleeves are knitted separately in the round from the bottom up, then joined for yoke with raglan shaping. Neck is shaped using short rows.

Recommended ease: Approximately 2–4” / 5–10 cm of positive ease.

BERROCO CAROUSEL (100 grs): (3, 3, 4) 4, 4, 5 {5, 5, 6} balls #4441 Duck Pond

BERROCO AERIAL (25 grs): (4, 5, 5) 6, 6, 6 {7, 8, 8} balls #3459 Merlot

Note: Both yarns are held together throughout.

NEEDLES and NOTIONS

32” / 80 cm circular needles, sizes 4 / 3.5 mm and 6 / 4 mm or size to obtain gauge

1 set each double-pointed needles, or preferred needles for working small circumferences, sizes 4 / 3.5 mm and 6 / 4 mm

4 stitch markers

Waste yarn or stitch holder to hold stitches

GAUGE

22 sts and 32 rnds / rows = 4” / 10 cm in Moss St on larger needles
