Norwegians Arne Nerjordet and Carlos Zachrisson are highly regarded fashion designers, textile artists, YouTubers and authors. They are best known for their original, colourful and visually striking designs, as well as their knitwear and their books. Their work is highly influenced by their Scandinavian background and everyday life in rural Norway.

Join this fun & informational stranded colorwork class with Arne & Carlos!

Norwegian stranded color work is all about tension. In this class, you will learn the basics of Norwegian-style stranded knitting in the round from expert Nordic knitters ARNE & CARLOS, who will show you the easiest and most relaxing way to hold the needles and yarns. They will teach you important techniques and tricks that will help you achieve perfect colorwork tension while keeping all your stitches even and beautiful, in true Norwegian style!

Materials

• 1 ball of Rowan Norwegian Wool, Ribbon Red 018
• 1 ball of Rowan Norwegian Wool, Cloud Dancer 014

Needles and Hooks

• 1 set of 5 DPNs size 3mm (U.S. size 3)
• 1 crochet hook size 3mm (U.S. size D-3) for the hanging loop

This class is taught using double point needles but you may opt to use a long circular needle for magic loop or 2 short circular needles if preferred.

• Wool or polyester stuffing

Basic knitting skills needed. Participants should be able to knit (no purling in this class). This project is good for inexperienced, intermediate, and advanced knitters.
