The Bon Melange by Nina Holubcova is a lightweight scarf that will be worn again & again. This go-to piece can be styled in a variety of ways & even as a head scarf!
The fun, knit scarf uses three colors of Urth Yarns Bonmoher lace weight mohair/silk blend to create an airy piece that dresses up every outfit. The pattern is knit on a comfortable size US 6 needle, holding 2 strands of the mohair together. As the scarf is knit, different colors are held together to create gorgeous marls.
Simple & straightforward, the knit is worked sideways, increasing from a narrow point to the full width, then decreasing to the opposite point.
Materials
- 1 skein each of three colors Urth Yarns Bonmoher or favorite lace weight mohair/ silk blend, sample photo in Smoke, Typhoon, Frost
- *Tip: a silk, wool or alpaca lace weight yarn is great as a substitute for those with mohair sensitivities. ex. Cascade Alpaca Lace, Isager Alpaca 1 or mYak Baby Yak Lace
- Size US 6, 16”-24” circular needle (knit flat, 15.75” wide)
