Quick, quick, lickety-split - a fast, cosy cabled DK hat. Just the job when fresh air is calling.

Sizes

Small (Medium, Large)

To fit head circumference: 16 (20, 24) in {40.5 (51, 61) cm}

Actual hat circumference (unstretched): 12 (14, 16) in {30.5 (35.5, 40.5) cm}

Length from crown to brim: 7½ (8½, 9½) in {19 (21.5, 24) cm}

Fyberspates Vivacious DK (100% super wash merino; 115g skeins)

Lundy Island (815) 1 x 115g skein for all sizes

Needles and Accessories

1 set 4mm US 6/UK 8 DPNs or your preferred needles for knitting small circumferences in the round, or size needed to get correct gauge

20 sts and 30 rounds to 4in {10cm} over st st in the round using 4mm needles, after washing and blocking 32 sts and 30 rounds to 4in {10cm} over rib and cable pattern in the round using 4mm needles, after washing and blocking (unstretched)

Pattern Notes
This pattern can be worked from either written or charted instructions. The rib and cable stitch pattern is very stretchy, so the finished hat sizes are much smaller than the head circumferences.
