Wool & Co. is a fast-paced, growing purveyor of premium yarns, needles & notions for hand knitting. We are looking to fill a position with our team based in South Elgin, IL.

This is a full-time position starting at $18/hr. Benefits include 40% store discount and healthcare.

Job Description for Backroom Stocker

• Restock inventory shelves from overstock
• Organize & put away large quantities of inventory
• Unload pallet deliveries using pallet jack from shipping containers
• Work safely, quickly and efficiently to move inventory from receiving to warehouse shelves
• Performing cycle counts & stocking inventory using RFI scanner
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness through sweeping, breaking down boxes, maintaining neat shelves
• Assist Manager on additional day to day responsibilities such as relocating inventory, assembling steel racking, organizing shelves, and stickering inventory

Skill Set for Backroom Stocker

• Detail oriented with high level of accuracy
• Ability to climb ladders while carrying boxes/totes
• Can lift up to 50lbs.
• Will be on feet for entire shift
• Experience using a RFID scanner for cycle counts & stocking inventory a plus, but will train
• Dependable with high level of accountability
• Cooperates and interacts effectively with peers and leadership
• Ability to adapt to change
• Willingness to accept other tasks as needs arise
