Caracol is a unique & visually stunning yarn that knits into one of a kind accessories & garments. Spun with 100% superwash Merino wool, the thick & thin, super bulky yarn knits up quickly on size US 13-15 needles.
This yarn is created by wrapping a single-ply strand in black or white thread, then kettle-dying for extreme color saturation. Reminiscent of stain glass windows, Caracol adds visual interest to simple stitch patterns.
The yarn is hand-dyed in Malabrigo’s signature variegated & tonal colorways. A gorgeous, soft yarn for hats, mittens, cowls, pullovers & ponchos.

This yarn is dyed in lots of skeins. Any order greater than skeins will be mixed dye lots. Some colorways do not have dye lots. Our team will do their best to choose the best matching skeins for your order.
Artisan hand-dyed yarns have natural color variations from skein to skein. Our team will do their best to choose the best matching skeins for your order. Here are some tips to get the best results when knitting with hand-dyed yarns:
- Purchase enough yarn for your entire project
- Alternate skeins by knitting two rows from one skein, then two rows from another skein. This will help to blend color differences.
