Many of you know Dorie Blankenship – she worked here at the store for most of the past five years, and if you were lucky enough to be helped by her you will have certainly come to appreciate her creative genius with all things fiber.
What you may not know is that her husband, Jeff, died suddenly in February. We are having a fundraiser to benefit the education trust for their four children, and we’d like your support.
On Friday May 8th, Saturday May 9th and Sunday May 10th Wool and Company will be holding a silent auction at the store. The silent auction items will be arranged in store from Friday morning until Sunday at 4pm when the bidding will end.
We have received many lovely items and we hope that you will come in, check them out and bid on your favorites. There are some wonderful Mother’s Day gifts here, so come in and bid, bid, bid.
For those of you that can’t make it to the store – we have set up an online auction that you can see on the right hand side of this page – check out the items and place your bids!
All the money we raise will be donated directly to the education fund without any deductions.
Thank you in advance.

Thank you Lesley and Neil for making this all possible- You both did a ton of work to make it happen and it was all worth it!
I just happened to go to your website and read about Dorie’s terrible loss. I am so saddened to read about her tragedy. Please know I will remember her in my prayers. It appears Lesley and Neil have again shown their love and generosity – sorry I didn’t know sooner.
